§ 14-77. Manufacturers' analyses.

  • Before a new amusement ride or amusement attraction is placed into operation, or whenever any major alterations or modifications are made which change the structure, mechanism, classification or capacity of any ride or attraction, the owner or attendant shall notify the city and shall furnish design data, safety factors, materials utilized, stress analysis and other pertinent data deemed necessary by the city. This information shall also be furnished by the owner or operator for existing rides and attractions if required by the city. Stress analysis and other data pertinent to the design, structure, factors of safety or performance characteristics shall be in accordance with accepted engineering practices.
