§ 2-63. Agenda.

  • Matters may be placed on the agenda by:

    (1)

    Members of the council;

    (2)

    The mayor;

    (3)

    The city attorney; and

    (4)

    The directors of departments.

    All matters to be considered at a regular council meeting shall be submitted to the city clerk not later than 3:00 p.m. on the Wednesday preceding the regular meeting. Unanimous vote of the members present shall be required to consider any item not on the regular agenda. The clerk shall arrange a list of matters according to the order of business established in section 2-64 and furnish each council member, the mayor and the city attorney a copy of the agenda prior to the meeting.

    All items placed on the agenda for discussion may remain on the agenda for a maximum of four consecutive council meetings. After four consecutive council meetings, the discussion item shall be removed from the agenda, and shall not be placed on the agenda again until a period of 90 [days] has passed.
