§ 46-77. Appointment; equivalency of compensation and authority.

At the time provided for the appointment of other officers, not more than three municipal judges shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by an affirmative vote of a majority of the council present and voting. Each municipal judge shall receive the same compensation and exercise the same authority and prerogatives of their office, regardless of the presence or absence of the other municipal judges.
