§ 2-162. City officers to deliver books, tools, and everything pertaining to his office to successor or mayor.

Every officer or agent of the city, on going out of office, shall deliver to his successor or to the mayor all books, tools, instruments and everything pertaining to his office, and is entitled to a receipt therefor, if requested.
